1. Norton AI Agent Protection (New in Norton 360) - Most Requested

This is Norton's new real-time security layer for AI agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and OpenClaw. It checks every action your AI agent takes and blocks threats like prompt injection, credential leaks, malicious URLs, and unsafe downloads.

It works with 3 outcomes: Allow (safe actions run), Ask (suspicious actions paused for your review), and Deny (confirmed threats blocked automatically).

Requirements:

  • Active Norton 360 subscription (no separate subscription needed while in beta)
  • Windows OS (Mac support coming soon)
  • Supported agent: Claude Code, Cursor, OpenClaw

How to Enable:

  1. Open your Norton 360 dashboard on your PC
  2. Go to Security > Advanced Security > Computer
  3. Find Norton AI Agent Protection
  4. Click Add Protection for the platform of your AI agent
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to link your agent tool

Once enabled, it runs locally on your device using 300+ detection rules to analyze commands, files, and code in real time.

2. Norton Genie AI Scam Protection in ChatGPT

If you want Norton to check scams, emails, links, and images directly inside ChatGPT:

  1. Log in to ChatGPT
  2. Go to the ChatGPT App Directory: chatgpt.com/apps
  3. Search for the official Norton app and click Connect to enable it
  4. In any chat, type @Norton followed by your question. For example: @Norton, is this a scam?

It's available on Free, Plus, Team, and Enterprise tiers wherever apps are supported.

3. Norton Deepfake Protection & Genie Assistant

This protects you from fake videos/audio on mobile.

  1. Update your Norton 360 mobile app to the latest version
  2. Open the app > Go to Genie Scam Protection
  3. Enable the AI assistant and confirm that deepfake scanning is active for video and audio
  4. It will then work automatically in the background. If you're on an older laptop with fewer than 6 CPU cores and less than 8GB RAM, Norton will prompt you to manually install it.

4. Norton Neo (AI-Native Browser)

Norton Neo has AI protection built-in by default. No extension or manual setup needed. It comes with integrated VPN, anti-phishing, and anti-fingerprinting protection.

Pro Tip: If you don't see AI Agent Protection in your dashboard, make sure your Norton 360 is updated to the latest version and you are on the beta channel. Go to My Subscriptions in your Norton account to verify your plan is active.
